heavyaction: saintsintothesea: Whoever actually believes that Scott Parker deserves the captaincy over Steven gerrard literally knows nothing of football. You’re going to overlook arguably the greatest midfielder of his generation let alone world? You’re gonna choose someone who at over 31 is just hitting his prime now? What can he do that gerrard cant? Gerrard is the only player who who has...

I used to be prejudiced toward NASCAR because every NASCAR fan I knew growing up fit every single southern redneck stereotype. Then I found out that one of my cool college friends loved nascar and she loves Kasey Kahne like I love Leighton Baines. I’m not like a fan or anything but I don’t immediately get all “um, what?” when someone tells me they like it anymore.

The only post I'll make regarding the Dynamo's SG...
Now, I’m a Dynamo fan. I wasn’t angry about supporters igniting smoke bombs at several away games at the end of the season because I figured “they know they’ve repeatedly broken the rules despite several warnings, so I’m going to guess they’re prepared to face whatever punishment the league deems necessary.” A few things: one, smoke bombs are dealt with...

Why is "To Kill A Mockingbird" on a Goodreads list...
I think whoever put it there is confusing “bad books” with “books I was too lazy to actually think about when my English teacher made me read them in high school.” I mean, there’s a difference between books you don’t like and books that are bad. I personally hated The Catcher in the Rye, but I can recognize that it still is a great book with a lot to offer in...

the acceleration lane...
is NOT the DECELERATION lane! So when I leave you a gap to pull into as I take my foot off the gas so I’m going slightly below the speed limit (because there’s a car in the left lane that insists on keeping it’s front bumper even with my back window) that means I want you to pull AHEAD OF ME, NOT HIT YOUR FUCKING BRAKES. Thankfully, I was JUST able to avoid a wreck, no thanks...

Arsene Wenger and the Whale's Back
runofplay: Arsene Wenger is like Schrödinger’s cat, or one of those particles that are supposed to be able to exist in two places at once: it’s impossible to measure him accurately because we don’t know enough about the constraints he’s under at Arsenal. If the board is pleading with him to spend money and he’s responding by humming loudly and composing an oil painting about youth development,...

So apparently the Obama thing I just reblogged was a joke, the poster was trolling for responses and now he’s getting some really bad hate messages from people who are telling him “go kill yourself” and I’d just like to say that I mean, it was funny because you’ve heard people say that before and even if that isn’t what he believes the reason I laughed so much...

I've decided that I'm just going to move to Bacau
It’s okay, there are people here and presumably jobs and buildings and civilization and stuff. It would make a good setting for the international spy thriller I plan on writing some day.

oh, I'm in Bacau
How do I turn onto a different street?
Feb 20th

AH, but “Strada” is also “street” in Romanian so we’re back to the Bucharest theory!
Feb 20th
Actually Google translate is telling me “Strada” is Italian for “road” but 112 in Italy is only for the Carabinieri so I don’t think they’d put that on an ambulance? Unless that wasn’t an ambulance?
Feb 20th
Actually, no, I think I'm in Bucharest.
